My 20% Southern Indulgence
I really enjoy planning for, preparing and enjoying my 20% Indulgent celebration. One thing I noticed when creating The Southern Fried Fitness Lifestyle was the more anchored I became in my 80/20 Lifestyle the less I was tempted by frivolous 20% indulgences. I became very selective about how I was going to spend my coveted 20% Southern Indulgence. Moving into 80/20 Living is a process and this was an unexpected pleasant surprise!
My Guilt Free 20% Treat
My husband is a BIG Chocolate fan. So, I'm trying to help him stay motivated, I found an Almost Sugar Free Choc -Chocolate Mousse (low cal) recipe that is so quick and easy even I can make (and my 13 year old daughter.) One large pack of Jello Sugar Free Chocolate pudding, 2 chunks of bakers choc and 2c of Sugar Free Whip Cream and one and half cups of skim milk. Use milk and melt the bakers choc in the microwave, then add the pudding and mix per the instructions. Let it set for about 20 minutes. Then fold/stir in about a cup and a half of the Whip Cream. ( I added a dash of Splenda.) Seperate into 4 dessert cups and use the remaining whip cream to top each dish. Awesome - about 250 calories each. We added a Maraschino cherrie on ours and it was so delicious and the whole family loved it.

Southern Apple Pie
My favorite way to use my 20% is my grandma's recipe for a great southern apple pie!
Weekly Treat!
My idea of the ideal "weekly treat" (or, my 20% southern indulgence!) is some great Football Food! Chips & a rich dip, meatballs, bbq, and pizza are some of my favorites... and enjoying them while watching my fave NFL teams with my husband and kids is the ultimate 20% experience for me!
