Cranberry Hootycreeks in a Jar
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup white chocolate baking chips
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats, uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/8 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- Directions
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a widemouth quart canning jar, layer ingredients: Half of the flour mixture, uncooked rolled oats, remaining flour mixture, granulated sugar, brown sugar (tamp tightly), dried cranberries, white chocolate baking chips, and chopped nuts. Seal jar and attach with the following directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet or line with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, beat together 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until fluffy. Add contents of jar and mix until well blended. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until edges start to brown. Cool on wire rack.
